President Trump initiated a federal employee hiring freeze. See: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/3404987-Trump2017hiringfreeze-Mem-Rel-3.html The freeze applies to all federal agencies (except military), regardless of their source of funding. This therefore applies to a user-funded program such as filings with USCIS. We will see if this effects processing times at USCIS Service Centers.Read More >

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has recently issued a precedent decision called Matter of Dhanasar that revises and expands the grounds for obtaining a green card in the national interest waiver category.
