In a recent article published by the Society for Human Resource Management, SRW attorney Andrew M. Wilson was quoted expressing his support for the executive action authorizing spouses of H-1B holders to work: “I know of H-1B individuals who have left employment to return home because of this issue, as well as individuals who decided to not come at all because of the lack of work permission for a spouse.” He stated that, while employment authorization does not extend to all H-4 holders, this action “will be helpful to many individuals.”
